Malteser International Annual Report 2015 – Shaping a better future

The humanitarian crisis in the Middle East and the devastating earthquake in Nepal were amongst the most significant challenges that we faced in 2015. Thanks to your support, our aid reached more than a quarter of a million refugees, displaced people, and vulnerable locals in Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, and Iraq during 2015, while in the year after the Nepalese earthquake we were able to provide life-changing help to over 92,000 people who had lost almost everything. Around the world, our teams continued their tireless work to make life better for hundreds of thousands of people in need in a total of 27 countries on five continents.

Despite the huge and apparently growing scale of the crises we face, even the smallest contribution, used well, has the potential to change a life, and shape the future for the better. That is why we are continuing to strengthen the partnerships, networks, and relief capacity which help us to make this crucial difference – to ensure that the aid we provide is more effective than ever before.

On behalf of the hundreds of thousands of people to whom you helped give the gift of health and dignity in 2015, as well as the Board, President, and staff of Malteser International, thank you for your support!

Yours faithfully,

Ingo Radtke, Secretary General
