Distribution of coats, blankets and rosary kits in Alice Springs

04/09/2017

Coats for the homeless are being supplied with the logo of the Order for the winter months in Alice Springs. In addition, Members are distributing blankets and Rosary bead kits with prayer cards and medals of the Madonna.

The distribution of the above items has been coordinated with Fr Raass, SVD – Parish Priest of OLSH Parish, Alice Springs; Vice Provincial of SVD AUS Province, Head of Catholic Mission and Faith Formation, CEO, DARWIN; Donation of blanketEpiscopal Vicar of the Central Deanery, Diocese of Darwin.

The following message of thanks came from Father Asaeli Raass.

‘’Please find attached a picture of James Reedy thanking you for the blanket. Now that the temperature is gradually receding, when I am giving out a blanket or coat or rosary beads…I am simply your hands and heart. It is YOU who have initiated this good works and I thank God for you.

I think the rosary kit can become a ministry in itself.”
