Order of Malta Lecture Series – “The Hour of Woman is Approaching… ”: Is the Church Ahead or Behind that Moment?

ALL WELCOME.

At a time when many people seek to question the continuing role and relevance of the Catholic Faith, these lectures will equip ordinary Australian Catholics with the knowledge and arguments to defend our beliefs.

On behalf of His Eminence, George Cardinal Pell AC, Archbishop of Sydney, you are invited to attend the second in an occasional series of lectures sponsored by the Order of Malta – to provide clarity for Australian Catholics in discussing and defending their Faith.

On 27 November, at The Crypt, St Mary’s Cathedral, Sydney, Anna Krohn will lecture on “The Hour of Woman is Approaching…”: Is the Church Ahead or Behind that Moment?’.

 ANNA KROHN is currently the Academic Skills and International Student Counsellor at the Melbourne Campus of John Paul II Institute for Marriage and Family. She is a sessional tutor in the School of Healthcare Sciences at Australian Catholic University.  She also works as a columnist, social commentator, educational writer and presenter in the areas of bioethics, spirituality, personal/professional ethics and development.

 Anna is currently an honorary co-ordinator of the community based Caroline Chisholm Library, an honorary advisor and member of the Catholic Women’s League and Convenor of the Anima Women’s Network.   She is a graduate of the Melbourne College of Divinity (BTheol), is researching information science and education and currently completing a Doctorate at the John Paul II Institute for Marriage and Family.

 Anna has worked for many years in teaching, writing and researching  life and healthcare ethics and worked as research and education officer at Melbourne’s St Vincents’s Bioethics Centre and at the Southern Cross Bioethics Centre in Adelaide.
